Latest News: Library Offers Grants For Research In The Field Of Contemporary Culture

The Library of Congress is offering a new round of grants to individuals and organizations working to document the cultures and traditions of Black, Indigenous, and Colored communities traditionally under-represented in the United States.

The Library’s American Folklife Center Community Collections Grants will allow many people to document their life and cultural experiences from their own perspective, while also enriching the library holdings with various materials showcasing creativity. and knowledge found at the local level. Funding opportunities were announced today and are open for applications until September 7.
