Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel and Ben Kingsley join a Wes Anderson Roald Dahl adaptation | Movies

Is Wes Anderson looking to challenge Ridley Scott in terms of prolific production? He has already City of asteroids going through post-production and about to kick off filming on another project, this time the Roald Dahl adaptation The wonderful story of Henry Sugar. He’s already caught the entire cast, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel and Ben Kingsley all involved.

Anderson adapted the script from Dahl’s book The wonderful story of Henry Sugar and six others, which was released in 1982 and mixes factual work with fictional short stories. The main story centers on Henry Sugar, a man who steals a book that shows him how to see through objects and predict the future. This sets off a series of misadventures that involve escaping mafia henchmen, working with a Hollywood makeup artist to create new identities and create orphanages around the world. Cumberbatch is set to be Sugar, as well as appearing in several roles in other stories.

It’s all part of Netflix’s giant deal that saw the company buy the rights to Dahl’s entire catalog. And this is Dahl’s second adaptation of Anderson after 2009. Fantastic Mr. Fox, although henry sugar appears to be live action. Hollywood journalist confirmed the cast, who from Baz Bamigboye.
