AUS vs ANG | Twitter reacts as Ashton Agar wows viewers by turning fictional superhero stuff into non-fiction

Some days outfielders can be sloppy on the pitch while others they are at their best, producing one unforgettable moment after another. Ashton Agar had one last type of day on Thursday when he followed an incredible run with a gravity-defying pitch effort to leave spectators dazed.

England managed to post a competitive goal against Australia in the first ODI in Adelaide, improving to 287/9 after initial struggles. Dawid Malan was the protagonist for visitors as he marked a well-calculated century. For guests, Adam Zampa contributed with three wickets but the vital contribution came from Ashton Agar who was prolific on the pitch.

Hagar first produced a rocket launch to reject Liam Dawson but his best was yet to come in the 45th. Pat Cummins threw a short delivery to centurion Dawid Malan and the batter fired it to the middle of the wicket where Agar was placed. The hit was going for a certain six but Hagar then activated her superhuman ground mode.

The all-rounder jumped with both feet in the air, as if defying gravity, and shot the ball inside the boundary ropes in spectacular fashion before falling back to the ground. With this brilliant effort, Hagar saved five possible runs and sent spectators sitting by the boundary signs in awe. Twitteratis were quick to react to Ashton Agar’s brilliance on the pitch and showered him with praise.
